That’s right, this isn’t the Birthday Cake Kush, or the wedding cake you might have read about. This is the Cake marijuana strain. Does it take the cake? You bet it does. It takes the cake and eats it too.
Appearance and Feels: This cannabis looks very similar to the UW they grow. The same stark contrast of ultra light green calyx and dark, dark brown pistils. As you can see from the pictures, there is no shortage of trichomes on this herb. It’s dense and spongy and sticky as all get out.
Smell: It’s got some borderline diesel skunky smell coming out of the bag. When you put it through the grinder, the full body aroma of this powerhouse indica shines through. It’s got notes ranging from pine to woody to skunky.
Flavor: The taste of the Cake is just what you would expect from any top shelf dank cannabis that comes from two greats such as the Afghani and the OG Kush. It’s just like it smells with a little diesel overpowered by the earthy skunky goodness that is this fire. If I had to pick, the Cake is my favorite tasting strain out of the four Cannaman Farms flowers I’ve reviewed.
High: The high is equally pleasant, not too overpowering, but just right. It’s mellow, calm, cool buzz floats your eyes right through the rain cloud that may or may not be hovering over you. Sit back and relax as you burn these trees to the ground. Let all your worries melt away from this fire. I mean for real, if cannabis up here in the pacific northwest gets any more fire, I’m going to have to start smoking near fire extinguishers.
Overall: Much like most of the weed I review here on SSL, if you have a chance to try out some of the Cake from Cannaman Farms, definitely do so. These reviews might sound like ads, but I assure you I purchase all of the cannabis I review with money out of my own pocket, and sometimes awesome readers of SSL and listeners of the Hot Box podcast. But mostly my own. I don’t mind it, I’m exposed to a ton of great cannabis, and I get to pick and choose the weed I review.
If you ever wonder why there isn’t really any shitty weed in my review catalog, it’s because I try not to pick shitty weed to review. Any asshole can do that. I’m trying to review the best of the best of what the pacific northwest has to offer. Most of the cannabis comes from Growers Outlet because they are literally a stones throw away from where I live, and now that I have a baby, it’s not always easy to drive a couple of hours to get to the next weed shop. Being the awesome stoners you all are, I’m sure you understand, and if there’s a particular strain you would like me to keep an eye out for, just holla in the comments!
