Arizer Solo vs Solo 2Move over, old-fashioned bongs and pipes— Vapes or ‘E-Cigarettes’ are here to steal the spotlight. There are a lot of vapes circulating in the Metro, but are you sure that you’re getting the bang for your buck? With different models being released and customized for each and every one’s satisfaction, there is surely one above all that will pique every person’s interest. Lo and behold, the top of the line of Arizer vaporizers, Arizer Solo and Solo II. So here is a summary of the two to help you when considering to buy the Arizer Solo 2 vaporizer or Solo vaporizer.

The two vaporizers actually have a lot in common; it both gives you the quintessential vaping experience and it also has an interchangeable glass stem system which is exclusive for the Arizer line, sleek and cool designs, and more. But what really is the difference between the two vaporizers?

First off, whenever you’re eyeing an item, you would consider its price. Well, you can find the Arizer Solo can normally be found for 20-60% the cost of the Solo 2 all depending on the deals of the day.

There’s quite a big difference with the price, isn’t it? But is there any difference in their performance? Well, keep reading because there’s a whole lot of things we have to discuss.

The Arizer Solo, it is pretty much one of the most popular vaporizers invented, like, EVER. Well, why wouldn’t it be? It has a pretty long battery life, it’s a no-brainer to use, and it puts off a high-quality vapor coming from its stainless steel chamber, and as stated earlier, glass vapor path which is exclusively for the Arizer line.

Nonetheless, times are changing and most importantly, technology is evolving. There are a lot of new vaporizers being released and competition is getting pretty tough. Portable vapes are being released by newer and much more established manufacturers. With this, the Canadian company, Arizer, stepped up their game and released the Solo II, which is basically an updated version of our trusty, old friend, Solo.

Arizer did not only update the specs of their excellent vaporizers, they also upped their packaging game with Solo II. From just a simple cardboard packaging, their new vaporizer comes with a new, fancy, black box. I mean, it’s packaging alone will make its competitors’ wigs fly— just kidding, but, who knows?

Moving along, the new Solo II comes in 2 colors, just like the original. But instead of being in Silver, it is swapped with a cool Mystic Blue. In addition, the design of the device itself has significant changes. There’s a slight difference in shape, and the new Solo looks slicker and slimmer as ever— making it much cooler and convenient for people who are always on-the-go. In line with this, both Solos are almost identical in weight, despite their differences in appearance.

Arizer Solo vs Solo 2

Interesting, right? Wait ‘till you see the specs!

The Solo II comes with only 110mm and 90mm straight aroma tubes compared to the straight and curved aroma tubes that come with the original Solo. BUT, you can order curved aroma tubes as an extra option for your Solo II.

Also, it seems that the LED display has been a thing of the past because unlike the original Solo, the new version has a digital display. Which I may add, is huge. It displays the battery percentage and temperature, which you can freely adjust since it has a larger temperature range, but we’ll talk more of that later.

The major upgrades that Arizer gave the new Solo are that it has a larger temperature range and its fully adjustable temperature control. The original Solo had 7 preset temperatures. But the new Solo has a temperature range of 50°C to 220°C and it can be adjusted by the degree, which means freedom!

It is also worth mentioning that both Solos have inbuilt batteries, but it is a tad bit complicated to mess with the new Solo’s battery since it has a star-shaped screw that isn’t really common. The Solo II also has a lot more battery capacity; it can be used for a 3-hour long vaping sesh. Not to mention, the charging port in the new Solo is now located at the back of the device. This is handy if you like to use your vaporizer while charging. You can also charge it standing up, unlike with the old Solo, since it’s charging port is located at the bottom of the device.

The heat up time seems to be faster for the Arizer Solo II vape compared to the first Solo. In comparison, according to testimonies, the original Solo reached its maximum temperature, 210 degrees Celsius, at 1 minute and 41 seconds. On the other hand, the new Solo reached its maximum temperature, 220 degrees Celsius, faster, in just a span of 32 seconds.

Oh, have I mentioned that the Solo II also comes with a clip-on carry case? Yes, it does! The carry case simply protects your vaporizer while you’re out and about. Aside from the case, the Solo II also includes 5 stainless steel screens in its package.

To sum it all up, there is not much of a difference between the Arizer Solo and the Solo II. If you’re on a budget, but you still want to enjoy some of the perks of Arizer, you can still rely on the Solo since it is still a pretty competent dry herb vaporizer. However, you cannot deny the luxury of Solo II. If you’re okay with splurging a bit and treating yourself, then go for it. Surely it is worth every penny, considering the long list of goodies it comes with. On the other side, if you are contented with the perks of the original Solo, it is not bad to stay with it and invest your money in something else.

When it comes right down to it, the Arizer Solo and the Solo II are pretty much similar. The vapor quality is just the same, high-quality vapor that Arizer is known for. What’s important is your personal preference, what makes you happy, and your requirements.
