George Harrison, A Very SUCCESSFUL POT-SMOKER, Died 10 Yrs Ago Today

Bob Dylan Got the Beatles STONED 50 Years Ago TodayWe absolutely adore weed-loving George Harrison, “the quiet Beatle”, who passed away a decade ago today. Harrison embraced Indian culture and Hinduism in the mid-1960s, which helped expand Western consciousness ushering in a new era of liberalism that swept across America like wildfire.

He also embraced marijuana…giving the world an example of a successful pot-smoker! He was arrested by the marijuana-hating Sergeant Norman Pilcher on March 12, 1969 the very same day fellow Beatle Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman. Pilcher also famously busted John Lennon, Mick Jagger and Donovan.

“You needn’t have turned the whole bloody place upside down,” Harrison said when he returned to his ransacked home. Never one to hide his marijuana-use he finished by saying…“All you would have had to do is ask and I would have shown you where I keep everything.”

Lending much credence to Harrison’s claim that the bust was a set-up is the fact that in 1972 Sergeant Pilcher was charged with “conspiracy to pervert the course of justice” for planting drugs in many cases. Pilcher was convicted and sentenced to four years in prison.

George may be gone, but his charisma, music and influence continues to live on. Enjoy this special STUFF STONERS LIKE VIDEO of the DAY: George Harrison’s Wah Wah…filmed at 1972’s concert for Bangladesh.
