Genetics: The exact lineage of Flat Top Purple is unclear. It is likely a cutting of the famous Humboldt staple Purple Urkel some awesome purple weed that’s been passed around Sonoma County under a different name. In Mendocino County growers renamed it Lavender, and in other cases it has been bred with strains like Big Bud to create Grand Daddy Purple.
Price: $45 a gram.
Appearance: Like a dark purple and brown semi-translucent dough. Solid enough that tiny ridges and ripples can be seen on its surface from when it was originally poured. The consistency appears firm and almost grainy when collecting into the quintessential dab. It drops easily from the dabber to the heated nail and vaporizes all at once. So clean and easy that no dab-napkin is needed after.
Smell: When left untouched in the container the scent is relatively light. Once the dabber is dipped in it reeks of licorice, hops, grapefruit, and musky soil. A single dab is capable of filling an entire room with that special purple stench.
