Jeff Sessions Says Marijuana Caused the Opioid Epidemic

Sessins Says Marijuana Caused Opioid EpidemicOh no he didn’t. Wait just a minute Mr. Sessions, did you just say marijuana caused the opioid epidemic? It’s true, our least favorite weed hating Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, continues to out himself as an idiot and a weed hater.

Speaking at the Heritage Foundation to the Reagan Alumni Association this week, Sessions talks about cutting prescriptions for opioid painkillers and how it is crucial to combating the crisis. He says they (meaning the doctors) just are prescribing too many pills. He suggests more people need to just take a bufferin and go to bed. Exclaimer, this is not fake news.

The man leading our judicial system actually put the following words into order. He said, ”Sometimes you just need to take a Bufferin or something and go to bed, but not these pills because they are so addictive.”

He goes on with, “The DEA said that a huge percentage of the heroin addiction starts with prescriptions. That may be an exaggerated number; they had it as high as 80 percent,” Sessions said. “We think a lot of this is starting with marijuana and other drugs too.”

Say what? Seriously, we need to pause and look at the simple absurdity in these two statements. “First of foremost, who takes Bufferin anymore? Most reading this post won’t even know what Bufferin is. And does he seriously think a pain patient could be sedated with an aspirin and a good night’s rest? Is this for real? Again, yes it is, see footage, it would be comical if the subject matter wasn’t so serious.

Sessions needs to be reminded of our previous post titled, Ohio Sues Pharmaceutical Companies for Causing the Opioid Epidemic. He could have read about some of the brutal statistics given to us by the CDC.

Like, Opioids were involved in 33,091 deaths in 2015, and opioid overdoses have quadrupled since 1999. In 2015, the five states with the highest rates of death due to drug overdose were West Virginia (41.5 per 100,000), New Hampshire (34.3 per 100,000), Kentucky (29.9 per 100,000), Ohio (29.9 per 100,000), and Rhode Island (28.2 per 100,000). Several states are experiencing the decimation of communities due to opioid overdoses and they need help, now. Not a fucking Bufferin.

Sessions’ second absurd statement is just as damning and dangerous. The AG has never been on the side of medicinal marijuana, but to suggest marijuana is the evil culprit spurring the opioid epidemic is destructive and negligent. It’s like Trump blaming Hillary for the alleged collusion with Russia.

Does our least favorite, weed hating AG know how many deaths occurred from marijuana overdose last year or the year before? That’s right zero. The fact is people do not die from marijuana, but at least 91 people will die today from an opioid related overdose.

Jeff Sessions just may be the most uninformed, biased, prejudicial attorney general to hold his position. Not only is he our least favorite, weed hating government official, he is now our least educated, weed hating government official. Definitely, not Stuff Stoners Like.

yo you’re the writer can we get a peace with the actual facts that have been proven about how weed is not a gateway drug and doesn’t kill people and then the facts about opioids and how they have caused their own epidemic and then the facts about how stupid Jeff sessions is with a petition at the bottom and we’ll see how many signatures we can get to out the bitch even though I know it won’t work.
