Strawberry Cough Genetics: Strawberry Fields X Haze
Strawberry Cough, one of the most popular weed strains on the web, is another one of those cool strains with a cool legend to them. Story goes an unnamed breeder in Vermont grew them in a strawberry field. The grower gifted clones to Kyle Kushman, who then went on to cross it with the Original Haze. Apparently Dutch Passion has put out Strawberry Cough seeds. Anyhow Strawberry Cough genetics are Strawberry Fields combined with Haze.
Appearance and Feels: This Strawberry Cough weed is sexy AF. That’s right, AF is the internationally known stoner unit of measure for shit and stuff. How fire is it? Well, I’m glad you asked. It’s stoney AF. If you don’t know what AF means, ask your parents.
This sample of Strawberry Cough was dense and borderline dry, but when you go to break it apart, it’s almost spongy. Densely good stuff, covered in trichomes with a nice dark calyx and dark brown pistils. Definitely some nice bag appeal, or jar appeal or whatever people call it these days.
Smell: As soon as you open the jar there’s a distinct smell of wandering naked through a strawberry patch chasing after wood nymphs and trying to find some magical sword or some shit. Seriously though, this cannabis smells nice. How nice? Nice AF. That’s right. Strawberry Cough weed smells nice as fuck. There I said it.
Flavor: Just being around Strawberry Cough weed is like a weedy walk through a strawberry patch. I like to think this is probably what Strawberry Shortcake used to taste like in her later years when she turned into a festival chasing, weed smoking hippy. It’s got some planty back-notes to it, some skunky love in there too, but that all takes backseat to the sweet berry taste we like so much.
High: The Strawberry Cough delivered a mellow yellow buzz all the way. Relaxing, calming, soothing, whatever you want to call it. It’s nice. It’s gentle as well, so if you are new to smoking, this would be a fantastic heady bud to get your wings with. Especially considering it’s only sitting around 13% THC. Also keep in mind that when you see weed with numbers over 25%, they are usually inflated for whatever reason. Most good weed should come in between 15% to 25%. It’s easy to get caught up in all these inflated numbers, so when you see a nice strain of cannabis like this that only says 13%, you might pass it by. Don’t, these are probably legit numbers to go with a legit strain.
Overall: For the taste, and the smell, the Strawberry Cough has it covered. Plus look at these pictures. It’s definitely some stuff stoners like. Especially if you like strawberries. I’ve seen some pretty tasty THC distillate cartridges out there that are Strawberry Cough flavored as well.
Those things are so damn good. It’s cool to see the cannabis and smoke the weed that amazing terpene profile comes from. Especially when there’s a cool story surrounding how it came to be.
