Legendary Activist Tommy Chong to Beat Cancer with Cannabis Again
It pains us to tell you all that Tommy Chong has cancer again. In an interview with US Weekly the legendary activist revealed that he is undergoing treatment for rectal cancer. “I’ve had some medical issues lately,” Chong said while attending a party in Santa Monica, Calif. “I got diagnosed with rectal cancer.”
And of course he’s using marijuana to treat his bout with cancer. “I’m using cannabis like crazy now, more so than ever before,” Chong told US Weekly. “I’m in treatment now. I’ve been — just the case either way, either I get healed or I don’t. But either way, I’m going to make sure I get a little edge off or put up.”
However this isn’t Tommy’s first bout with cancer. He successfully fought it off back in 2012. He’s got practice. So we know he can do it once again. Back then he told CNN he was treating his prostate cancer with cannabis. “I’m treating it with hemp oil, with cannabis. So [legalizing marijuana] means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested… I’m taking it as a medicine.”
