Where is marijuana legal?
As we head into the primary election and possible legalization of marijuana in several states let’s pause to see where we are. Where is weed legal here in the states? Well as of Pennsylvania’s passing of its medical marijuana bill on Wednesday March 16th there are now a total of 24 states plus Washington, D.C., that have legalized medical marijuana use in some form. And many more states have passed decriminalization of cannabis measures.
Sure the majority of legal weed states have legalized marijuana for medical woes. But don’t forget, dude, that recreational marijuana use is fully legal in four states—Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and the District of Columbia. Plus there could be a whole bunch of new marijuana legal states coming online with the election coming up this year. So the legalization stage is set as we go into the upcoming election. Can’t wait to see how many more weed legal states we’ll welcome at the end of the year!
