The word on the internet is this strain, sometimes called Sweet Island Skunk was originally bred by Federation Seed Company in Canada. Though it’s spotty as to what it’s genetics are.
Appearance: Gorgeous dense dark greenery with a nice scattering of trichomes covering both sides of the flower. Sticky to the touch which then makes everything you touch smell like the tropical paradise we should be living in, rather than this borderline prison-esque freedom to bow to the great nine to five we occupy. It’s a good thing we have phenomenal growers like Two Heads Co. farming the good stuff. It definitely makes the day go by easier. Smell: As soon as you tear the bag open your sense of smell is assaulted with an onslaught of tropical skunky pungent goodness. Like one of those York peppermint patty commercials, except the Tropics not the Alps. Break the buds apart to toss in a grinder and they only get more tropical. It’s like a beautiful sandy beach vacation.
Flavor: Damn near like a mouth full of tropical skittles. It’s sweet and skunky tasting. Is that the name giving us preconceived notions of what this should taste and smell like? Or was it named because of it’s taste and smell. We’ll know once we take a look at the terpene profile. I always find that sort of thing interesting, because if you can fully understand it, you can almost figure out if we are actually piloting this ship, or just along for the ride with what we perceive as free will.
High: This is such a great tasting strain you almost forgot how stoned you get. Between the terpenes and an almost 20% THC count, this strain has a nice sedative stoney buzz. Not too much couch lock involved, unless you let it.
There’s something to be said about the motivated smoker. It’s very easy to just get blazed then sit around all day not getting anything done. This is a good comforting high to make you forget about all your aches and pains, allowing one to get through the day with a coke and a smile. Well, a smile at least, and a pocket full of smelly ass sticky ass good ass stuff stoners like.
Overall: Another great strain all around by the good farmers at Two Heads Co. This is another one of those awesome strains I like to pull out when friends are over. Half because of what it looks like and half because of how it smells.
