Autumn Brands Cannabis is Stuff Stoners Like

A few weeks back we met Autumn Shelton. She’s the CFO of Autumn Brands. They’re located along the coast of Santa Barbara County and are committed to utilizing the latest sustainable farming techniques, natural sunlight and pesticide-free cultivation.

Autumn has been navigating the unchartered waters of California’s Prop 215 and the Regulated California Cannabis industry (Prop 64) since 2015 and is a sought-after panelist and public speaker on the nuts and bolts of operating a licensed California cannabis cultivation business. Suffice to say her cannabis company is a woman and family-owned business that cares for the consumer, the community and the environment.

We hear that the Santa Barbara climate is perfect for year-round growing for optimal plant health. And the Autum Brands farm is tucked in between the ocean and the mountains where it produces some really pure and really tasty flowers.  The genetics used on the farm are carefully selected to ensure strength, viability, and consistency in our coastal and balanced ecosystem. And

Their weed is grown in a greenhouse. According to Autumn, these conditions are essentially the perfect balance between indoor and outdoor growing.  Growing cannabis in a greenhouse is significantly more cost effective and sustainably focused than indoor grows, but still provides all the same environmental control and reliability benefits.  Like outdoor grows, greenhouses can harness the free power of sunlight, but we are able to harvest every week ensuring we always have fresh flower all year round.

Autumn Brands Weed

Well, not only was is pretty to look at, because it was manicured so well and covered in a bunch of glistening trichomes—it smells and tastes really delicious. We were lucky enough to try a few of their varietals including Jet Fuel Gelato and Smackerz.

According to Allbud.com Jet Fuel Gelato aka Jetlato is an evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) created through crossing the powerful Hi-Octane X Jet Fuel strains. They report that Smackerz is an indica dominant hybrid strain (70% indica/30% sativa) created through crossing the classic Gorilla Glue #4 X Rozay strains.

We also were treated to some really tasty Autumn Brand pre-rolls. They came in a tin. Talk about convenience, man. Not only is the tin easy to carry, it provides the perfect amount of protection for each joint without being too cumbersome. Security personnel probably think they’re housing mints—this is an added bonus.

They also gave us some salve to test out. We typically prefer products that we can smoke, but this stuff is pretty cool despite not being able to light it on fire and inhale it. We tested it out on some sore muscles and it really helped soothe ’em. No wonder because According to Autumn, their soothing salve has the highest concentration of calming, all-natural transdermal magnesium available on the market.

Anyhow, we dig Autumn Brands. They most definitely capture the essence of cannabis culture and are a true testament to the power of female entrepreneurship. As you embark on your next cannabis journey, consider Autumn Brands as a beacon of excellence, taste, and inclusivity.
