Structure, color, calyx to leaf ratio, all on point. Dense, sticky, with both light and dark green parts, all totally covered in frosty trichome goodness. Don’t take my words for it though, take a look at these pictures.

Smell: The Pineapple Express strain has such a wicked tropical sour, sweet, and spicy aroma, and if you are brave enough to get the tingle in your nose, crack a bud open and give it a solid sniff. Holy crap this is some great smelling weed.

I had a chance to get the Pineapple Express analyzed for cannabinoids and terpenes by our friends at the Werc Shop. Click here to see the actual PDF.
This strain is loaded with β-Myrcene at 12.95 mg / g, D-Limonene at 3.72 mg / g, and β-Caryophyllene at 3.25 mg / g. The other terpene over 1 mg / g is α-Humulene.

Flavor: The Pineapple Express strain has that flavor profile that keeps on giving. At 23.83 mg / g, you can see where it gets all that bodacious flavor and aroma. This was the second highest terpene count out of these seven strains, getting beat out by Kosher Tangie, which had 27.20 mg / g. You can read my full review of the Kosher Tangie here.

High: It’s a good thing you’ll have in your head that this is a sativa when you smoke it, because if you thought it was indica, this bud might have you acting the fool. The Pineapple Express strain is heavy, but easy on the mind at the same time. It makes things brighter and more tropical, although that’s probably due to it’s name and flavor.

But when I smoke on this weed it’s not while watching the Pineapple Express movie. Did you see that Pineapple Express movie? It ain’t as good as this Pineapple Express strain. No sir. As I smoke on this Pineapple Express I expect no less than to be hanging out on the sandy shores of some picturesque beach resort. Smoking spliffs and drinking Rockstars while writing weed reviews. That’s the life for me. Back to reality though, let’s wrap this up with some final thoughts.
Overall: Overall, this is one of those strains that would probably get a ten, but I haven’t reviewed all the bud yet, so I’m saving the 10. What the Pineapple Express strain does get it a high 9, because it got me lifted, and is a great showing of the strain.
The taste, smell, look, and high are all on point. If I could, I would definitely be smoking this on the daily. It’s an express train loaded to the gills with stuff stoners like for sure. I highly recommend it.
