THC Pills are Stuff Stoners Like and Easy to Make At Home

THC Pills with their concentrated THC are definitely stuff stoners like. Because what stoner doesn’t dig concentrated THC? Similar to vaporizing THC pills, sometimes called weed pills or marijuana pills provide some of the benefits of weed without having to smoke it. Weed pills are perfect for people looking to treat conditions like chronic pain, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, cancer, arthritis, AIDS and migraines.

Their Effects

Marijuana pills also deliver more potency—similar to how eating weed rather than smoking it can produce a stronger and longer lasting full body stone with an intense head high—weed capsules can do the same thing. And because THC pills are extraordinarily concentrated—think hash—that can at times cause some unwanted side effects like paranoia, anxiety, shortness of breath, fast heart rate and disorientation. However, don’t confuse Marinol pills with THC pills, we’ll explain why below.

Marijuana haters often cite the fact that smoking weed seems like a crude way of medicating. Mainly because the dosing aspect can be challenging. However smoking marijuana flowers delivers a litany of cannabinoids including CBD (aka Cannabidiol) which is non-psychoactive and used to treat anything from cancer to seizures think CBD oil or Rick Simpson Oil and CBN aka Cannabigerol which effectively treats inflammation. And of course THC capsules contain THC aka the high causer or Tetrahydrocannabinol. This cannabinoid is famed for its psychoactive effects, no wonder they’re called THC capsules, right?. THC also stimulates appetite and has a calming effect on the immune system.

Cannabis pills are preferred by doctors because they obviously don’t contain the carcinogens and byproducts produced by smoking. Plus because of the high temperatures associated with burning marijuana some THC is lost in the process of smoking. Consuming cannabis pills, however, is a surefire way to deliver a fully potent and targeted dose of THC—specifically tailored to the patient’s needs.

We’re not here to determine the best pills to get high, but we’ve covered some common pills to get high like AN627, Trazodone or Watson 3202. That’s because we kept getting asked about them. But in the decade we’ve existed we have yet to cover marinol pills. that’s crazy. Keep in mind that medical marijuana pills are the real deal—containing natural marijuana medicine and that marinol pills are not. Actually the scientific name for Marinol is Dronabinol. Marinol is the brand name but you can think of these as interchangeable kinda like Kleenex.

Anyhow marinol pills are typically considered for use when other medications have not been previously effective at treating symptoms like extreme nausea. Marinol pills, basically a gelatin capsule that contains fake THC and oil, are not the same as thc pills. A marinol pill contains no THC. Make no mistake it’s a completely synthesized concoction that mimics THC. But don’t let the fact that marinol pills have no THC fool you, some patients report experience an intense and sometimes uncomfortable marinol high. Consider how synthetic marijuana like Spice has affected consumers. Marinol pills also contain no CBD or CBN either.

Because marinol pills are a schedule III controlled substance, unlike marijuana which is a schedule I, doctors can prescribe marinol pills readily. And of course because a fake THC pill doesn’t contain any marijuana it’s not effective like marijuana. Anyhow Marinol pills which have been FDA-approved since 1985 deliver a significant impact on a person’s mood and body. The synthetic THC contains a mixture of medicinal herbs that each produce individual, mild-effects. This can be attributed to the way the oral medication is absorbed through the body easily crossing the blood-brain barrier and affecting the central nervous system and brain function. In fact most effective anti-nausea medications work similarly—altering the brain’s dopamine process.

Marinol side effects

We suggest using THC pills however your doctor might prescribe things like Marinol pills because he or she thinks that the benefits gained from the medication outweigh the risk of the side effects. So keep that in mind. According to Webmd the negative side effects of Marinol include dizziness, drowsiness, lighheadeness, confusion and a feeling of being high or what the describe as an exaggerated sense of well-being. Marinol also can cause nausea and vomiting. These are the symptoms Marinol is typically prescribed to treat. It can also cause stomach and abdominal pain which isn’t something you’d ever have to worry about when taking thc pills.

Anyhow to combat some of the side effects of taking Marinol Webmd suggests that getting up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position could help reduce the risk of sudden dizziness and lightheadness when taking marinol pills. And if these feelings increase that you should inform your doctor.

According to the FDA Dronabinol, the active ingredient in Marinol is formulated in sesame oil. In some people this can cause an allergic reaction so it’s advised to chat with your doctor if you have peanut or similar allergies. If you notice a rash or any itching or swelling especially on the face or tongue or throat while taking Marinol pills, or anything like sever dizziness or trouble breathing you should immediately call your doctor.

NORML reports that About one-third of patients prescribed Marinol report experiencing one or some adverse effects. They report changes in mood, muddled thinking, perceptual difficulties, coordination impairment, irritability, and depression.

Norml also reports that Marinol is more psychoactive than natural cannabis. They claim that patients prescribed Marinol frequently report that its psychoactive effects are far greater than those of natural cannabis. Also according to NORM the psychoactive effects only may last four to six hours.

“Marinol’s oral route of administration is responsible, in part, for its heightened psychoactivity compared to inhaled cannabis. Once swallowed, Marinol passes from the stomach to the small intestine before being absorbed into the bloodstream. Following absorption, Marinol passes through the liver where a significant proportion of the drug is metabolized into other chemicals. One of these chemicals, 11-hydroxy-THC, may be four to five times more potent than natural THC, and is produced in greater quantities. Thus, patients administered Marinol experience the psychoactive effects of both THC and 11-hydroxy-THC, greatly increasing the likelihood that they will suffer from an adverse psychological reaction. By comparison, only minute quantities of 11-hydroxy-THC are produced when cannabis is inhaled. Moreover, Marinol lacks the compound cannabidiol, which possesses anxiolytic activity and likely modifies and/or diminishes much of THC’s psychoactivity in natural cannabis.”

“Patients usually feel the effects of Marinol in about 45-60 minutes.” This is typically the time it takes for a marijuana edible to affect a person. However effects of smoked or vaporized marijuana will happen almost immediately. And because the pill is ingested rather than smoked or vaporized it is often felt to be four or five times stronger. A study in the journal Neuropsychoparmacology revealed that the pain-relieving effects of Marinol actually last longer than the pain-relief effects of smoked marijuana.

According to RXlist dronabinol, unlike thc pills, can be habit-forming. They go on to say that Dronabinol should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug addiction or habitual marijuana use.

Not only are marinol pills expensive (maybe someone can tell us about the marinol price they’ve experienced in the comments below) they don’t contain any weed. Want to make your own THC pill? Well homemade cannabis capsules are easy to make, man. No, dude, you can’t make marijuana tablets with this method. Actually we’ve not ever seen marijuana tablets. Maybe you could make some sort of marijuana tablet candy? Anyhow to make these concentrated THC pot pills all you need are some gel-capsules and an oral syringe from Amazon. You might be able to find this stuff at the local grocery store but can score 1000 empty capsules for $8.79 and pick up a three-pack of oral medication syringes for just a few bucks. You’ll also need some cannabis of course, the better the quality the better the the weed pills, and coconut oil. Interested in making your own THC pills? Here’s how to do it:

How to make the pills step-by-step

Making weed pills is done by baking cannabis, cooking it into a oil-based liquid and then filling gel-capsules with the mixture.

  1. Weigh out about 7 to 10 grams of weed. If you find that your finished marijuana capsules aren’t effective, feel free to increase the amount of weed—however this is a good starting point for most stoners.
  2. Now you’ll need to decarboxylate that marijuana. For in-depth instructions visit our post, Decarboxylation Instructions for Weed, or basically spread your weed out on a baking sheet and bake it for about 20 minutes in a 225-degree oven.
  3. Grind the weed into a fine powder.
  4. Dump the powder into a crock pot or heavy pot on the stove and then drop in about a tablespoon of coconut oil. Heating the mixture on low for three to six hours.
  5. Let the mixture cool and then carefully inject it into the large end of capsules with an oral syringe. That’s it man, just gently add the mixture to all your marijuana capsules and done.

Once all the capsules are filled make sure to try them off. Store them in the refrigerator to preserve their integrity. Like we said pretty simple, eh?
