Boat Marijuana Strain Review

History: According to the internet, this is one of the first weed strains that started showing up with more than 8% THC. Do you remember back when most weed was less than 8%? I don’t and I’m kind of glad. Of course, the true origins are unknown.

Appearance and Feels: The Boat looks like a ship I would definitely set sail on. The light green calyx is covered in trichomes and long light orange pistils. The longest pistils I’ve seen on a strain in quite a while. As far as I know that has nothing to do with how the buzz is, but it does make for a really beautiful looking bud.

Smell: Now this is what I’m talking about. The Maui Waui Boat smells like a walk on a tropical beach. Sand beneath your feet and little rainbow drinks with umbrellas in them, in your hand. The sound of the waves crashing in against the sandy shore. All of that stuff. It’s tropical, sweet and citrusy, and that’s just the smell that comes out of the jar. Once you break it open to pack a bowl or grind it up for a spliff, the real terpenes are released and wow.

Flavor: There’s a fantastic sweet almost citrus piney front end with a very light tropical taste on the back end. It’s some lush smoke for sure. I like it. In a joint it’s real tasty, even more so in a spliff, if that’s your sort of thing. It is mine. Triple Crown has a nice version of the Maui Waui here. From what I understand, it’s not true Maui Waui, but has a very similar terpene profile as the real deal. Probably the closest thing you’ll find to actual Maui Waui here in the PNW.

High: A great heady buzz that makes you wanna get up, get out, and get something. Don’t let the days of this life pass you by. You gotta get up get out and get something…You get the picture. It’s a great high to have with you all day, whether you’re going to work or just at home chilling.

Overall: For a strain with a nice tropical terpene profile, and fairly mellow buzz, the Boat is a great choice. Although it does have over 20% THC, so as always, if you are new to smoking, you might wanna do the two hit quit with this. Take two and pass it, or pass out, depending on your situation. For my situation, I’m going to enjoy smoking the rest of this in fat spliffs that keep me gently lifted throughout the day. Life is good in weedland, and that’s always stuff stoners like.
