Puffco Proxy is Stuff Stoners Like

The Puffco Proxy is a versatile and portable vaporizer designed for use with concentrates. It puts top-tier technology and unmatched versatility in the palm of your hand. And it looks pretty cool—kind of like a modern version of the pipe Popeye used. It has a single-button interface and 3D Chamber. It makes exploring the magic of hash has never been easier.

Puffco has been working tirelessly to demystify dabs and remove the stigma  around concentrates, and its newest product may be the solution to these questions.

Say Hello to Proxy

Modeled after the design of a classic Sherlock pipe it uses 3D chamber heating technology to produce smooth clean vapor. Its glass bottom, or the “pipe” part, is removable for easy cleaning, has a sleek design and is ready for customization by top glass blowers. Currently it is available in classic black and desert, a beautiful earth tone.

This thing features a durable metal body with a compact and sleek design that makes it easy to carry around. The device comes with three interchangeable atomizers that allow for a range of vaping experiences, including a ceramic bowl for flavorful hits and a quartz bowl for stronger hits.

One of the standout features of the Puffco Proxy is its adjustable airflow control, which allows users to customize the intensity and volume of vapor. This feature is especially useful for those who prefer different vaping styles or who want to experiment with different settings.

Another noteworthy feature is the device’s battery life. The Puffco Proxy comes with a 900mAh battery that can last for multiple sessions before needing to be recharged. It also has a quick charge time of only one hour, making it a convenient option for on-the-go vaping.

How does it work?

The Proxy operates similarly to the Peak and Peak Pro vaporizers, utilizing a straightforward push-button interface with four preset temperature settings: blue for low, green for medium, red for high, and white for peak temperature.

Furthermore, the Proxy comes with various accessories, such as a carrying case, loading tool, Dual Tools, and a USB-C charging cable.

How do you use the Puffco Proxy

  2. Hold down the main button for three seconds to lock or unlock the device.
  3. Single-click the main button to toggle between different heat settings.
  4. Use the loading tool to place your preferred concentrate in the 3D Chamber.
  5. Put the carb cap on top of the chamber and push down until it’s snug.
  6. Double-click the main button to start heating the device, which is indicated by a pulsing light.
  7. The device will vibrate and the lights will flash three times when it’s ready to use.
  8. Inhale gently.
  9. After each use, use the dry Dual Tool to clean the chamber.

Vapor Quality

The Proxy delivers an outstanding vapor quality that is rich in flavor and terpenes. Its large mouthpiece cools the vapor down, unlike a vape pen. Thanks to its clever design, the Proxy prevents excess heat from dissipating into the mouthpiece or the user’s face, as the heat rises and dissipates into the air.

This design is not new, and traditional pipes have been utilizing it for a long time. However, Puffco has modernized it for the Proxy. IT can maintain heat for up to four draws before it automatically turns off, but you can extend the session by double-tapping the button.

Extracts are becoming more popular among vapers, and the Proxy makes it easy to enjoy them without a steep learning curve. It is much more user-friendly than a rig, while being more versatile.

The familiar and nostalgic design of the Proxy is approachable and attractive, and everyone who sees it seems to appreciate its elegant retro look.

Proxy heat settings

The pipe is controlled by a single button. That makes pretty easy and straightforward to use. It’s equipped with four pre-set heat settings:

  • Blue (low)
  • Green (medium)
  • Red (high)
  • White (peak)

It takes about 30 seconds to heat up. When it’s ready the pipe will vibrate to let you know that it’s time to take a hit.

Is Puffco Proxy worth it?

Overall, the Puffco Proxy appears to be a solid choice for those looking for a portable and versatile concentrate vaporizer. Its customizable airflow control, interchangeable atomizers, and long-lasting battery make it a device that is both user-friendly and adaptable to individual preferences.

What is the difference between Puffco Peak and Proxy?

The Puffco Peak and Proxy are both portable rigs. But, the Peak doesn’t seem as portable or as compact as the Proxy. And it definitely doesn’t look as cool. I don’t think the Peak delivers smooth hits like the proxy does and there isn’t that metallic flavor that you sometimes get from the original Peak.

I noticed that it’s a lot easier to clean the Proxy than it is to clean the Peak. In fact, I cracked the ceramic oven on the Peak by cleaning it on its maiden voyage. Maybe the quartz coating on the Proxy has something to do with how easy it is to clean. It definitely isn’t as fragile as the pure ceramic heating element on the Peak.

Is the Puffco Proxy for wax?

Yep. The Puffco Proxy works with any type of concentrate that you throw at it. You can use it to vape wax, resin, dabs, shatter, and crumble comfortably. I tested it with some choice live resin. And the flavor was pretty amazing. Because it doesn’t get too hot the terps stay tasty.

Can you use dry herb in the Puffco Proxy?

No you can’t use dry herb with the Puffco Proxy right out of the box. That’s because it’s made for concentrates. But there is a dry herb attachment that’s available separately. You can get it from the Puffco website.

How much is a Puffco Proxy?

The Proxy retails is available for $299.99 from the Puffco site. If you don’t feel like slapping down that entire lump sum at once you can pay in four installments of with Sezzle. It comes in two different colorways—a sleek and stealthy looking black and really dope desert aka brown.

What are the cons of the Puffco Proxy?

The biggest downside to the Proxy is that you can’t accurately adjust the temperature mid session. I find myself accidentally turning it off. Plus it only stays on for 30 seconds at a time. I’d rather it stay on for two or three times longer so that I can extend the time of my sesh. But your mileage may vary.

The only other con is that you can’t really put a huge glob of wax in it. That might be a good thing because you don’t have to use as much to get a good hit, but you’ll have to refill it a few times if you’re a heavy hitter.

Is the Puffco Proxy a water pipe?

No the Proxy is not a water pipe. But Puffco makes an attachment to turn it into a water pipe. It’s called The Proxy Droplet and it’s a percolated water filtration piece that delivers what the company calls ‘cooler, smoother hits.’ The Droplet is comprised of hand-blown borosilicate glass that allegedly fits as comfortably in your hand as the Proxy itself.

Can you put water in the Puffco Proxy?

No, you can’t add water to the Proxy right out of the box. But, you can pick up the Proxy Bub for $99.
The Proxy Bub allows you to add water to enhance your Proxy experience via percolated water filtration. It’s supposed to provided a smoother and cooler hit. And like the Droplet which also enables water filtration it’s made from hand blown borosilicate glass too.

How long does Puffco Proxy last?

The Puffco Proxy lasts approximately 15 seshes before it needs a recharge. Of course using the boost mode to deliver more heat will cause the battery to drain faster.

Cleaning the deivce in between sessions will extend the life of the Puffco Proxy. Luckily, it’s not too difficult to clean. I usually have alcohol wipes on hand or a q-tip to help me with keeping it all nice and clean like.

Roger the founder of Puffco has this to say:

“The Puffco Proxy celebrates cannabis by creating connections — not only to the plant and its cultural legacy but also to our community and friends,” shares Roger Volodarsky, CEO and Founder of Puffco. “Its familiar pipe form honors the rich heritage of cannabis and invites you to connect with others who share a passion for dabbing and other modes of consumption. The Proxy is also one of our smallest devices, which makes it very portable and discreet.

We designed it so you can enjoy broad consumption flexibility, compatible with an array of future accessories from our ecosystem, along with those from a world of talented glass artists. The Proxy’s innovative base design offers glass artists a broad new canvas and platform to create meaningful pieces, which we are really excited about.”
