The only real info I could find was on 420101. They say this strain was tested for three years and over a thousand packs of Cannalope Kush seeds were given out so they could collect as much data as possible before releasing it to the public. This was in Amsterdam. The DNA Genetics team got some pretty fantastic feedback and ended up releasing feminized seeds into the world.
Appearance: Exceptionally tight dense nugs, some purple, some not. Some have just a tiny bit of purple at the base of the stem. Definitely looks like frosty stuff stoners like. Especially after you put it through the grinder. It’s like a purple and green snow covered forest floor. Very delectable.

Smell: At first you get a huge blast of something sweet and spicy, with a noteworthy tinge of cantaloupe. This is definitely now in my top five favorite strains out of everything I’ve tested so far in the Washington I-502 market. Which I think goes to show that you can’t judge how good some buds are going to be strictly from the cannabinoid percentage on the bag. The smell when I put this through a new grinder was far more cantaloupey than just breaking apart the buds and giving a sniff reveals.

Flavor: More of a solid kush flavor with definite tropical cantaloupe accents. The smoke is smooth. Much like the Grape Ape I smoked in a previous review, the Danish Export tobacco does something to really bring out these flavors. With the Grape Ape it was obviously the grape flavor, with the Cannalope Kush, it’s the cantaloupe. I like.

High: The high is a swift head change from a bong rip, and right into higher thinking land after a few. Spliffs are nice and smooth and keep the light happy buzz going throughout the day. This version comes in slightly under 20% at 17% but there’s some terpene love going on in there that potentiates the high, facilitating a nice dreamy reality for the duration of your trip.

Overall: Called the sativa grower’s best friend for a few reasons. This is a nice easy growing plant that produces some pure fire. I’m tempted to give this one a 9. After smoking the last of it after work, and getting through work on the 3.5 grams I had to work with, I’m definitely impressed with all aspects of this herb.

The smell, the taste, it’s beautiful multicolored look. That frosty purple though, am I right? I’m giving it a 9, because it’s just that good, and something that, even though it’s not a 20% or above strain, it’s still awesome buds.

For Stuff Stoners Like, I’m Mat Lee.
