When Davinci launched the MIQRO people wondered whether it would rival its predecessor, the Davinci IQ, or if it would simply offer a new option that they might like to add to their collection.
It turned out that, as the name suggests, the Davinci MIQRO is in fact a mini version of the IQ with many of the same great features but just presented in a smaller and more portable package. The look of both devices is almost identical with a stunning brushed metal casing and a curved design that makes these vaporizers easy to hold and use which is a definite plus for anyone who vapes.
Both of these dry herb vaporizers have their strengths and weaknesses, but which one of these Davinci models is the best?
The most portable option
We have already said that the Davinci MIQRO is the most portable option out of the two, but it is actually a whole third smaller than the DaVinci IQ which is already fairly portable with measurements of 9 x 4.2 x 2.4cm. Unsurprisingly, the MIQRO is also lighter weighing in at around 100g compared to the IQ’s 140g.
Being as little as it is you can easily fit the DaVinci MIQRO into your pocket, even with its extended mouthpiece attached, whereas if you want to use the extended mouthpiece on the DaVinci IQ you’d probably need to carry it around in a bag instead. The Davinci IQ can be pocket-sized with its flat mouthpiece but many prefer not to use this as it doesn’t allow the vapor to cool.
With all of this in mind we can definitely say that the most portable option is the Davinci MIQRO.
The best battery
When it comes to charging your Davinci vaporizer you will be on the go quicker with the DaVinci MIQRO as it only takes 1.5 to 2 hours to charge which is much faster than the 3 hours that it takes to IQ to charge. However, you will get around 90 minutes of usage from a fully charged DaVinci IQ but only around 50 minutes from the MIQRO due to its smaller battery.
It is easy to charge the DaVinci MIQRO on the go due to its USB cable, and as the battery is replaceable you can always take a fully charged spare when you leave the house. One issue is that batteries can only be charged when they are within the device so you won’t be able to vape when you need to charge your spare. The DaVinci IQ’s batteries can be charged separately.
From these findings we feel that it is the Davinci IQ that has the best battery.
The most flavoursome vapor
Both the DaVinci IQ and the MIQRO boast zirconium ceramic mouthpieces and air paths which means that they both produce pure vapor with a lot of flavour. This great taste is achievable because there is no flavour in the zirconium ceramic which will contaminate the vapor which is often the case when materials such as plastic are used.
The MIQRO has an adjustable oven which means that you can enjoy great vapor without using too much herb, and this really does make it a fantastic option for when you want to vape solo. However, it takes 39 seconds to heat up whereas the IQ heats up within just 16 seconds.
Due to the similarity between the way vapor is produced by these two products they are both as good as each other.
The most technological option
When the Davinci IQ first hit the market people were amazed by the technology used as this vaporizer really is something special. With an app that allows you to turn the vaporizer on, which is the first example of this in the industry, plus the functionality to precisely control both temperature and smart paths, this is the option for you if you’re looking for a high-tech device.
The DaVinci MIQRO also boasts smart paths but these cannot be controlled via an app, however it is very efficient if you are happy with a simpler model.
After comparing these two dry herb vaporizers we can only conclude that they both offer strengths which can outweigh the other depending on what you are looking for. If you are after a discrete and portable version definitely opt for the MIQRO, or if you love the thought of a high-tech model the IQ is the one for you. Either way, we do not think that you will be disappointed.
